　　Mobilization Meeting for Supervision in Dongying City by the Third Ecological Environment Protection Supervision Group of Shandong Province Kicks off

　　In order to fully implement the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the CPC and the 3rd Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, and to thoroughly pursue the Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization and guiding principles of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech during his inspection of Shandong Province, the Third Ecological Environment Protection Supervision Group of Shandong Province visited Dongying City to supervise the work of ecological environmental protection according to the Implementation Measures for the Supervision of Ecological Environmental Protection in Shandong Province, with the approval of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and the People’s Government of Shandong Province. On October 25th, the mobilization meeting was kicked off in Dongying City. Liu Xiao, Head of the Supervision Group, and Huo Taiying, Deputy Head of the Supervision Group, gave speeches respectively. Yang Guoqiang, Secretary of CPC Dongying Municipal Committee, arranged the mobilization for stationing. He Xianzhuo, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Dongying Municipal Committee and Executive Vice Mayor of Dongying City, presided over the Meeting.

　　As emphasized by Liu Xiao, the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core attaches great importance to the ecological civilization construction and ecological environment protection. Under the promotion of General Secretary Xi Jinping, the “Regulations on the Work of Eco-environmental Protection Supervision of the CPC Central Committee” and the “Measures for the Rectification of Eco-environmental Protection Supervision of the CPC Central Committee” were successively issued in the form of internal Party regulations. It is clearly noted at the 20th National Congress of the CPC that the in-depth promotion of the ecological environmental protection supervision of the CPC Central Committee fully embodies the unwavering commitment and resolute determination of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council to enhance the authority of supervision, and to advance the ecological civilization construction and ecological environment protection.

　　As noted by Liu Xiao, in recent years, the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and the People’s Government of Shandong Province have issued the Implementation Measures for the Supervision of Ecological Environmental Protection in Shandong Province and carried out three rounds of routine supervision and five special supervisions, which facilitated the resolution of many major ecological environmental problems and provided a strong guarantee for the continuous improvement of the ecological environment quality throughout Shandong.

　　This supervision reflects a vivid practice in the implementation of the Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization as well as a pragmatic measure to comprehensively promote the construction of beautiful Shandong. Focuses of this supervision include: the implementation of the Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization, the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the CPC and the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on Shandong’s work; the implementation of the major decision-making arrangements for the ecological civilization construction instructed by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council and the implementation of the work requirements by the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and the People’s Government of Shandong Province; the implementation of the red line of ecological protection and the handling of ecological and environmental risks; and the construction and operation of environmental infrastructure. The Supervision Group will resolutely implement the deployment requirements of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and the People’s Government of Shandong Province and coordinate to grasp the direction and key points of supervision in an accurate, scientific, and legal manner.

　　Yang Guoqiang indicated that departments at all levels shall fully understand the significance of eco-environmental protection supervision from a political and overall perspective, making great efforts to fully support and cooperate with eco-environmental protection supervision. Efforts should be made to strengthen coordination and guarantee, strictly adhere to the work discipline, implement the various arrangements of eco-environmental protection supervision with high quality and efficiency, and do well in rectifying the feedback of supervision by analogy, thus promoting the eco-environmental protection throughout Dongying City to continuously achieve new fruits.

　　At the Meeting, Huo Taiying put forward requirements for cooperation with the supervision work, immediate improvement during supervision, information disclosure, accurate, rational and law-based supervision, and practical efforts in primary-level burden reduction.
