On October 21, the 2024 "Quality Shandong, Global Trade" opening-up and international precision procurement conference, hosted by the Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce and the Liaocheng Municipal People's Government and undertaken by the Liaocheng Municipal Bureau of Commerce and the Gaotang County People's Government, was successfully held.

This international precision docking event has attracted more than 80 international purchasers and representatives of industry associations from South Korea, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and other places. For this docking conference, Gaotang County has carefully selected nearly 60 representative leading enterprises in industries such as mechanical equipment, papermaking, health and wellness food, and new materials. Through product exhibitions, on-site negotiations and other forms, many enterprises have reached cooperation intentions with international purchasers, covering multiple fields such as agricultural machinery and equipment manufacturing. At the event site, the intended transaction amount was more than 50 million U.S. dollars, and nine key foreign trade cooperation projects were successfully signed, laying a solid foundation for in-depth cooperation between the two parties in the future.

After the conference, the representatives visited the product exhibition areas of various enterprises at close range and at the same time experienced the cultural customs such as Gaotang's wheat straw paintings, black pottery, and gourds. "Gaotang's wheat straw paintings are all handmade. The exquisite craftsmanship is truly astonishing," said Yu Haixiong, the branch director of the northern region of Doosan Corporation of South Korea who participated in this conference.

In recent years, Gaotang County has been committed to promoting high-quality development of foreign trade, continuously improving the level and effectiveness of opening up to the outside world, actively creating a diversified foreign trade industry, and forming industrial clusters such as equipment manu
