Zhangqiu scallions are recognized nationwide for their exceptional qualities: tall, crisp, and sweet. They stand as a proud symbol of Zhangqiu's rich agricultural heritage and cultural legacy.
This year's harvest festival, the 22nd annual celebration, focused on strengthening the seed industry while promoting production and sales partnerships. Over 40 companies participated, showcasing more than 100 local products that highlighted Zhangqiu's agricultural abundance.
In recent years, Zhangqiu scallions have earned numerous distinctions. Thanks to Zhangqiu's unique selenium-rich soil and cultivation techniques, these scallions contain at least 30 micrograms of selenium per kilogram—27.75 times more than standard ones—making them especially popular with consumers.
