The Jinan pavilion at the Macao International Art Biennale 2025 opened in Macao on Oct 17.
Under the themes "The River is Surging" and "Spring Jinan", the pavilion's exhibition showcases the rich culture of the Yellow River and the lively charm of the city of springs, and it runs through Nov 30.
Designed by Jinan Art Museum, the exhibition links Jinan, Macao, and the world through art. It highlights a 54.64-meter-long ink painting of the surging Yellow River and a digital experience project inspired by the famous painting The Autumn in Quehua Mountains by renowned Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) painter Zhao Mengfu. The digital project allows visitors to virtually stroll Jinan's scenic landscape.
Additionally, the exhibition features a diverse collection of artworks, including traditional Chinese paintings, oil paintings, installation art, and more.
The Macao International Art Biennale 2025 is a major international cultural event hosted by the Macao Special Administrative Region, comprising six sections and showcasing artworks from 13 countries and regions.
The Jinan pavilion reflects the strong recognition of the city's cultural and artistic achievements and the fruitful exchanges between Jinan and Macao, said Ma Li, director of the Jinan municipal bureau of culture and tourism. She extended an invitation to the people of Macao to visit Jinan and experience its vibrant culture and daily life.
In recent years, Jinan and Macao have engaged in extensive cultural and tourism exchanges, including performances and youth study tours.
